This shiur explores the Talmudic account of Emperor Nero, who, upon realizing that God intended to destroy the Beit HaMikdash and make him the scapegoat, chose to walk away from power, convert, and ultimately become the ancestor of Rabbi Meir. His story teaches that even amid divinely guided events and moral complexity, human beings always retain the power, and the responsibility, to choose conscience, justice, and transformation.
