    1. Title: It can't be what you imply, what you say
      Author: Harold Klein

Dear Rabbi, First, I convey to you that I listen to an average of 2 talks of yours every week. I find you fresh, insightful, honest, extremely well versed in Torah and the World. Today, I coil back. In listening to this talk as you relay G-d "enabling" those who would cause tragedy, trauma, loss, pain unending suffering to our people distasteful, abusively misguided and insensitive at best. To imply those who will suffer deserve to otherwise G-d would not have chosen or embodied those barbarians is contrary to all that I hold dear about my G-d. I am writing from fresh memory of the talk prior to my shutting it in midstream out of anger and disappointment. Did G-d create the entire system with which Man calls the shots and all are in line for consequences, yes. But no, G-d would not make or enable (depends on the your definition of enable) man to sin so that G-d can punish the sinner. Ludicrous!. Reread The Rambam Shemona Perokim Chapter 8 - closely. There is more, but we are in middle of coordinating and packing our home for Aliyah. Please re-listen to your talk and try and understand from where I am coming from. If you said "allow" I certainly would go with that. You in particular must rethink this as you have so admirably experienced and nurtured your son's dire challenges. Was he deserving of this, were you? I believe not. The villian(s) were not chosen nor directed by G-d to do this. Not my G-d.
