אִישׁ חֵמָה יְגָרֶה מָדוֹן, וְאֶרֶךְ אַפַּיִם יַשְׁקִיט רִיב: This morning (2/13/25), in our morning Mishlei shiur, we had a different kind of "Mishlei Part 2" shiur than we usually do. I was bothered yesterday by the lack of specificity in our approaches. My Mishleic intuition told me that we were hovering around the general topic, but hadn't yet discovered the chidush (novel insight). We engaged in a VERY in-depth review of what we covered and ended up hitting a goldmine of insight into the nature of interpersonal conflict. While I'm still not sure whether we ended up with a complete explanation of the pasuk itself, that's almost unimportant to me. I feel like we really leveled up in our understanding of this (unfortunately) important topic, and I'm already eager for the next pasuk about strife, whenever that may be! https://rabbischneeweiss.substack.com/
