Description

בְּרָעָתוֹ יִדָּחֶה רָשָׁע, וְחֹסֶה בְמוֹתוֹ צַדִּיק: This morning (5/23/24), in our morning Mishlei shiur, we continued analyzing yesterday's pasuk. You know the expression, "you win some, you lose some"? Well, that doesn't apply in Mishlei EVEN when you don't emerge from a learning session with a clear, succinct, satisfactory explanation. Why not? Because so much of the benefit of learning Mishlei comes from the analysis and discussion itself. Today, we pretty much ended up where we were yesterday as far as a conclusive understanding goes. Sure, we made some NICE moves and explored some intriguing possibilities, but this was one of the few Mishlei shiurim (out of the 530+ shiurim I've recorded over the past four years) in which I felt like we NEEDED a third session. Tzarich iyun, as they say! https://rabbischneeweiss.substack.com/
