Description

Fourth in a series of daily shiurim (on kerias ha-Torah and the third perek of Megilla) for post-10th-grade talmidim at NCSY Kollel. The answer to the last talmid's question at end was cut off: according to רבי חנינא, perhaps ישיבה indicates that עמידה in this context means not literally standing, but some posture which expresses כבוד (as does literal עמידה) yet provides physical support (as does literal ישיבה) - namely, השתחוייה.
