Polydactyly is an autosomal dominant genetic disorder in which an individual is born with extra fingers or toes. One of the earliest mentions of it appears in Tanach, in Shmuel II, chapter 21, verse 20, during the story of King David’s battle against the Philistine warrior Goliath
