A shiur shared at the Beth Abraham seudas hoda'a on Yom Yerushalayim 5785. [The recording doesn't include the teirutz discussed subsequently regarding Shmuel ha-Navi and David ha-Melech - while Yerushalayim's uniqueness was known throughout the centuries from Yehoshua to Shmuel, they may have thought it was only as the intended political capital of the future malchus ha-nivcheres, not as the future site of mikdash.
