Can those who do not fully observe the mitzvot be vehicles for bringing the redemption? R. Yoel Teitelbaum and others firmly reject this notion, arguing that God wouldn't choose as His redemptive emissaries those who deny Him. But this week’s Haftarah - featuring flawed lepers becoming agents of salvation - demonstrates that when it comes to bringing the redemption, God has a different standard.
