In this section we begin to learn Rav Kooks profound way of perceiving the abandonment and "otd" of his (and our) times. It was not coming from a hatred of Torah or morality, but rather from a desire connect to the world and broad and far reaching ideas and philosophies. They did not know or ever taste the Torah which speaks to these bigger concepts.
