Description

This short Dvar Torah deals with the concept of "limiting" G-d to one particular land or place, which sounds foreign to monotheism. But when contrasting it on one hand to pagan thought (which claimed that every land has a different god), and on the other hand Christianity which "spiritualizes" everything, including tefilin, mezuza, the holy nation etc., claiming that everything is just symbolic and spiritual, it helps us understand the Godly designated Holy Land of Eretz Yisrael, which is precisely the same mindset as tefilin, mezuza, the holy nation etc. The Land of Israel actually helps us understand the Jewish/Godly mindset of Kedusha/holiness, and accordingly is central to Jewish thought AND action.
