Description

The Meraglim were, objectively, correct. The Land of Israel IS a forbidding, challenging land. So it was for the Canaanites who were there before we arrived and so it was for all who arrived there after we were driven into exile. It IS "...a land that devours its inhabitants" - for any and all other nations. But Am Yisrael effects changes in this regard, and the harsh land becomes an inviting, lush and gracious home of our People.
