The Kabbalah teaches that there are two models of redemption: It'aruta dil’eila, ‘awakening from above’ (seen in the open miracles of Pesach) and It'aruta diletata, ‘awakening from below’ (seen in the hidden miracles of Purim). What do these models have in common? My thoughts on the transition from Purim to Pesach and significance of the bravery shown by Capt. Daniel Perez z"l, who fell in combat in Gaza.
