There are four distinct texts which obligate us to wear Tefillin, two in sequential Parashot in Bo, and two in the "mirror" Parashot of שמע and והיה אם שמוע in Devarim. We explore the unique context of each and propose an explanation for the unique significance and message of each. This shiur was given in memory of our dear friend, Dr. Sam Smith - שמואל יעקב בן אברהם יצחק z"l, who was a long time member of our weekly shiur.
