This shiur was given live on WebYeshiva (https://webyeshiva.org) on Tisha B'av 5782 (2022). We discussed the tragic reign of King Menashe, son of the great King Hizkiyahu. The prophets declared that it was his sins that sealed the fate of the destruction. And yet, we find a debate in the Mishna (Sanhedrin 10:2) - seemingly reflected in the Tanakh itself - about whether or not he has a portion in the world to come. It turns out there is more complexity to Menashe than meets the eye, and understanding him can ultimately help us reverse the tragedies of that era
