For a long time Religious-Zionists felt inferior to the Haredim who were seen as more "religious", & towards secular Zionists who were more "Zionist". Today, when religious-Zionists are at the forefront of the IDF & the pioneer halutzim, & the Hesder & Yeshivot Gevohot of Rel.-Zionism have equaled or surpassed Lakewood & Mir, it's important to stress Rav Kook's vision of a new type of Israeli Yeshiva boy, who revives the original Torah-type of the Tanach. He serves in the army, settles Israel, learns philosophy, mussar & modernism, thanks God for the Jewish State, & holistically harmonizes the best of all worlds. The last thing we should do is to revert to the Galuti Torah from which we have BH matured and advanced to a more relevant Torah.
