In this week's parsha, the nation donates material to begin contructing the Mishkan. The nesi'im, the leaders of the various tribes, decide to wait to donate until everyone else has donated, so that they could fill in the gaps. In the end, everything was donated, and all the nesi'im were able to bring were the avnei shoham and avnei miluim. Chazal criticize the nesi'im for their decision. Why do they critcize them- wasnt their thought process logical? And what can this all teach us about parenting?
