Description

In this weeks Parsha, soon after leaving Har Sinai, Am Yisrael begin a downward spiral of challenges and sins towards Hashem. What is the reason for this? The Medrash very poignantly describes that the Jewish Nation ran from Har Sinai "like a child runs away from school". Despite all that was accomplished and achieved at Matan Torah, Bnei Yisraels departure from the Mountain was done in a negative way- leading to their downward spiral. As parents, we must continue to take a long term approach in chinuch- not only thinking about the present moment, but the moment that our children will "leave home"- and make sure that they leave in a positive and loving way
