Description

At Har Sinai, Am Yisrael respond to receiving the Torah with the famous words "Naase V'nishma", "we will do and we will hear", representing a complete commitment to G-d's Torah before understanding its contents. While this response is generally praised and celebrated, Rav Soloveitchik questions the premise- and asks why response is considered a positive one? We are intellectual and logical human beings- wouldnt this type of blind obedience be irresponsible, especially regarding such an important life decision?
