Description

The title of the Parsha is Chayei Sarah, but Sarah is seemingly only relevant to the short opening paragraph of the Parsha. The bulk of the Parsha is focused on finding a shidduch for Yitzchak in the form of Rivka. Why then would the Parsha be called Chayei Sarah? Upon further examination, we see that for Yitzchak the death of Sarah and his marriage to Rivka are very deeply intertwined. What is the meaning of this transition and why does its meaning specifically come out in the life of Yitzchak?
