Description

In this Derech Halimud shiur we will note that the general nature of a mitzva, like matza, lular and Tefillin, is a חובת הגברא, i.e. an obligation imposed upon the individual to implement an action. The object is no more that a means to facilitate the action. However, on occasion, : the Mitzva is related to the חפצא. The responsibility is generated by the object. Moreover, the fulfillment of this obligation changes the very "personality' of the object. This 'lumdus' plays a special role in the area of קדשים. We will begin our study of the dual nature of the obligation of ציצית and its relationship to the Issur כלאים. We will discuss Mila and Mezuza as well.
