In this Hashkafa shiur for Parshas Noach entitled "Who was Noach?", we seek to clear up some of the confusion about the personality of Noach. Some of the comments of Chazal quoted by Rashi on the Torah give the impression that Noach wasn't all what he was cracked up to be. However a deeper look at the statements of the Ramban, Rabenu Bechai, the Or HaChaim & the Kli Yakar will help us grasp the greatness of this persona not just in his generation but even in terms of the 20 generations that proceeded him. Why did Noach delay entering into the Ark? Why didn't he pray on behalf of his generation? The answers to these questions will place Noach into a superior light.
