Description

The Kli Yakar seems to raise the possibility that Noach was suspect of stealing from others to supply the תיבה with the necessary volume of food to last for a year. The great Rosh Yeshiva, HaRav Chaim Shmuelevitz refuses to entertain such a suspicion regard the Tzaddik Noach. Rather it is crucial that Noach take of his own possessions to feed the animals in the ark. Why is this so? In a second essay Rav Chaim analyzes how Noach achieved מציאות חן, a critical attribute that protects and saves a person from danger.
