Description

At the end of the Parsha is the striking command to fully wipe out Amalek from the world. What is so dangerous about Amalek that the Torah requires that they be completely destroyed? In examining our confrontations with Amalek in the desert, on Purim, and throughout history, we reveal the existential danger they pose to Benei Yisrael. Deeper than that, we trace the earliest origins of Amalek to the sin in Gan Eden and reveal that the final confrontation with them will be at the End of Days and wrap up history itself. Finally, we show how this sheds new light on our Parsha as a whole and impacts the way we are meant to live every day of our lives.
