Description

This class in Hilchos Shabos will address the Melecha of cutting, מחתח, and its contemporary applications. We will wonder about cutting off the tops of yogurt containers, sugar packages, cutting toilet paper, ripping off rings on soda bottles, etc. What are the conditions for violating this Melacha? We will pay special attention to the contemporary Poskim including HaRav Shlomo Zalman Aurbach.
