In this Halacha & Hashkafa shiur for Parshas Va'eschanan we will study Rashi's insight re: how are we meant to teach Torah to young children? The program is more that simply transmitting knowledge. In the second half of this shiur we will turn back to Parshas Devorim and study the relationship between Shabos & Churban Beis HaMikdash. Abaye claims that it was Chillus Shabos that brought about the Churban. Rashi tells us that Moshe told the People "there is much greatness for you" when he declared: רב לכם שבת. This last word is a symbol for Shabos. What we lost with Churban was immense. But what was left for the Nation to guarantee its continuity? The Shabos! Shabos is our "Rebby" throughout the Galus.
