Description

This Hashkafa shiur for Parshas Devarim is largely based on an essay in the Sefer המה ינחמוני entitled 'avoid confrontation with Edom and find strength & solace in the chambers of the Torah'. Moshe tells the people that they be careful and not confront Esau and his descendants. This because of the Berachot bestowed upon Esau by Father Issac. But how can the Nation of Israel sustain itself during the long & bitter Galus? The Medrash recommends that we flee and find refuge in the inner chambers of Torah study. How does this solve of the problem & guarantee the preservation of our People during the Galus? In the last part of this shiur we will begin our discussion of תוכחה which is the subject of Moshe's presentation in Devarim.
