In this Hashkafa shiur for the three weeks, Bein HaMetzarim, we will suggest a new answer to the old question: what are we mourning? We will study the impact of the destruction of the Mikdash upon the transmission of Torah and our capacity to comprehend the Oral Torah. We will base our presentation on the insights of the Vilna Gaon, the Ben Ish Chai, and the Chafetz Chaim.
