In this Hashkafa shiur entitled "Finding meaning in the Halachik principle קנאים פוגעים בו", we will address a number of difficulties regarding the episode of קנאות when Pinchas kills Zimri. Why didn't Moshe Rabanu counter the argument of Zimri? Why didn't Moshe himself put Zimri to death? Why did Bilam who appreciated the Modesty of Israel believe that the Moabite women could entice Jewish men to acts of immorality? Why did Hashem add the element of דין to the Midah of Rachamim? How could the absence of דין impact on a world based on unbridled חסד? Is there a system of Halachik justice that operates outside of the framework of the Jewish Court system? What role does passionate emotional impulse play? We will study the Sefer המה ינחמוני.
