This is a Hashkafa shiur for Parshas Chukas on the subject the fast of Erev Parshas Chukas. What is the origin of this custom? What is the hidden message of the Chok of Para Aduma? How does this message connect to the catastrophic events of Erev Parshas Chukas? What element defines the 'irrationality' of the Para Aduma? Would it not be sufficient to demonstrate that the process of the Para Aduma parallels the process of the Egel HaZahav?
