Description

In this Hashkafa shiur for Parshas Behar we seek to address a fundamental question: Why does the Torah prohibit receiving interest? In Mitzvot Bein Adam LeChaveiro, when one is called upon to do an act of Chesed on behalf of his fellow Jew, can the giver expect that others share the burden and responsibility to provide the recipient with his needs? The Medrash teaches that the encounter between the donor and the recipient is "arranged" by Divine Providence.
