Description

The name of Parshat Ki Tavo implies that we have arrived at the final destination of what Torah and history has set out to accomplish. What is the connection between that and the actual context of the opening of the Parsha - Bikkurim, the mitzvah of brining of the first fruits to the Beit HaMikdash? We examine the depth of the mitzvah of Bikkurim and how it brings out the content of where we are meant to arrive at the end of our journey, both personally and nationally: to a proper perspective of all of the good that God has given us and with a sense of pure and complete hakarat hatov (gratitude). (Part of HaMidrasha at QC, OU-JLIC's Torah learning program for women at Queens College.)
