Description

This shiur for Parshas Vayikra will offer a two-fold introduction to Sefer VaYikra and establish two fundamental principles as we begin the Book of Avodah. The first principle addresses the nature of the Jewish soul and its essence: how much does a Jew desire to serve Hashem/ We will see a new interpretation of the Beracha that closes אבות the opening Beracha of our Tefilla, "he who protects Avraham". The second principle addresses the role of the attributes of humility & בושה in our Avodah. Moshe Rabenu serves as the paradigm of these מדות. A true Torah scholar, a Torah giant, is a personality which personifies the fear and awe of Hashem which engenders a genuine בושה which is central to Avodas Hashem.
