This is a Parsha & Hashkafa shiur for Parshas Yisro based upon the Sefer המה ינחמוני. Why Yisro came and the message of אל תאמין בעצמך. One of the key premises of the Mussar movement is that man must constantly be on the move, striving for great and greater spiritual heights, never being complacent and willing a stay in one place and remain at a certain level. One should not rely on his acheivements and feeel 'I have reached my desticnation, I have climbed and reached the summit of the mountain. I am satisfied and secure in my position'. This attitude is unacceptable as Yisro discovers from his obsevation of what transpired in the history of the nation of Israel.
