Description

Chazal refer to Sefer Devarim as the Mishneh Torah, the repetition of the Torah. If we have already learned these stories and halachot, what is the purpose of repeating them? What is so significant about repetition that it becomes part of the very name of Sefer Devarim. And if it is so important, why does Moshe wait until the end of the 40 years in the desert before revealing these important concepts! We examine the depth and power of repetition, the meaning behind the number 40, and how both play a critical role in Sefer Devarim.
