Description
The Halachik status of a company with limited liability status, חברה בערבון מוגבל. In the legal systems of the West a company is a unique entity owning independent status. There is no personal liability re: the shareholders; only the company & its assests are responsible & serve as guarantors for the debts of the company. But how does the Halacha view a company? Does a legal entity of a חברה with no personal ownership or responsibility exist? Where can we find a precident in the Torah for such a finalcial entity? And if no such legal entity exists in Halacha can the contemporary legal custom generate a new status that would be Halachically valid & recognized as a caterogry of ownership unto itself? This will be relevant to many Issurim.
