Description

This shiur, Mussar for Parshas Va'era, will address the relationship between רצון and logic. We learn from the Mitzrim and the plague of ברד that subjective will determines objective reasoning & behavior. On a rational level what sense does it make that the Mitzrim did not take the necessary precautions, as per Moshe's warning, to save their slaves and their animals by bringing them inside their homes? After all, Moshe had proven himself 6 times over! It defies explanation! We will study the insights of Reb Elchonon in his מאמר on belief in God and the prohibition against taking bribes.
