Description

Masechet Ketuvot 18a: Is the borrower believed to establish that he returned the money he borrowed from the plaintiff's father? What if claims that he payed up half the loan, must he take the oath of מודה במקצת? Or is he exempt from this oath under the law of משיב אבידה? When the son claims money owed to his father does his claim have the status of a תביעה חשובה if the defendant admits to half? Does the principle of אין אדם מעיז פניו apply vis-a-vis the son of the lender?
