Description

In this Parsha & Hashkafa shiur for Vayechi entitled "the ethics of honest evaluation without personal bias", we will see that even Yaakov Avinu had to overcome the challenge of personal interests. What was the purpose of the long presentation of Yaakov to Yosef about 'why I buried your Mother on the road rather than in the Machpelah'? Couldn't Yaakov have gotten straight to the point: Hashem told me to bury Rachel right there on the road outside of Beit Lechem. Why is Yaakov so harsh with Shimon & Levi because of their action against Shechem? Why now - in his parting speech at the end of his life? These and many other q's will be addressed, all to be explained with one insight into the nature of man and his sub-conscious mind.
