Description

Midrash Seder Olam reckons Yaakov's years in Lavan's house but presents a challenging sequence of events to support that narrow time-frame. An alternate suggestion is presented, one which fits within the literal read of the text and which responds to a number of challenges raised by the Midrashic approach.
