Parsha & Hashkafa for Vayeitzei: refuting those who are מגלי פנים, who are negative & cynical about the Torah's stories about the Avos. The are pejorative about our ancestors commenting on their actions as if the (the Avos) are regular run-of-the-mill people like you & I. The Seforno & the Rambam before him give us an inkling of who the Avos were. The second part of today's shiur will present a study of the great gratitude of Leah. Why is Leah - acc to Chazal - the paradigm of הכרת הטוב?
