Description
in this Derech HaLimud shiur we will introduce the fundamental distinction between the מעשה המצוה וקיום שבלב. A limited number of Mitzvot require an internal state of being, without which the Mitzva is worthless. Although these Mitzvot have a definite, well-defined Mitzva act, the act alone is insufficient without the קיום שבלב. Based on this distinction we will interpret a sugya in Moed Katan as well as a sugya in Rosh Hashana. This can have an impact on the mitzva of eating Matza after midnight as part of the Kiyum of re-experiencing the redemption from Mitzrayim.
