The "in-lieu" of Birkat Kohanim paragraph, recited every morning by Ashkenazim in the Diaspora and in all congregations when Kohanim do not directly bless the congregation, is often mis-parsed in a way that leads to a misunderstanding of the word "Ka-amur" In memory of Leonard Cohen z"l, who passed away today at the age of 82.
