Description

Preparing in a very simple way for Yom Kippur, to return to that place before any of the problems started. Purification takes place on YK, but our avodah is to reveal this cleansing in our lives afterwards. "lifnei Hashem tit'haru" - we should be feeling a much greater uplifting on Shabbos, when putting on Tefillin, when lighting Shabbos candles. So where is it? To the degree a person actively worked to improve his mitzva observance and stay away from sins, the cleansing at the root of his soul will be revealed. We must have a real aspiration and hope that to reveal what YK is supposed to be, even though we might not have felt successful in the past.
