For Masechet Ketuvot 13a we continue our analysis of the great debate regarding an unwed woman who had an intimate relationship with an unidentified man. Is she believed to establish her status as a כשרה for Kehuna? The sugya establishes the correctness of the interpretation of Zeiri of Rebby Yehoshua refusal to rely on her testimony. Zeiri claims that R' Yehoshua is referring to a case where the witnesses only saw Yichud, i.e. this woman was alone with a man in a private place. She is nevertheless not believed to claim that she had a relationship with a כשר. This despite the fact that she could have denied having intimacy with this man. We will see if R' Gamliel will rely on her claim even against a רוב, & even to be מכשיר the daughter.
