We continue our series on the insights of the Maharal MiPrag. In this shiur we wish to study the meaning of the custom formulated by Abaye in Masechet Horiyos of eating the סימני Rosh HaShana. We will appreciate the Maharal in the context of the Ramban on Parshas Lech Lecha. Our basic inquiry is this: does the eating of the Simanim have meaning unto itself, i.e. it has an impact, or is it merely a means to an end?
