Description

For Parshat Niztavim we will see that the Ramban derives the Mitzva of Teshuva from our parsha. The Rambam disagrees with the Ramban & omits the Mitzva of Teshuva, only establishing the mitzva of Viduy. But how can there be a mitzva of Viduy without Teshuva?? We will explore four different approaches to this issue. That of the Kiryat Sefer, the Minchat Chinuch, our Rebby, Rav Soloveichik, the 'Hema Yenachemuni' of Tolen. What does the Rambam do with our Parsha in Nitzavim? We will establish that the parsha addresses the time of Geulah.
