For Masechet Ketuvot 10a we continue our study of the sugya of Ta'anat Betulin, when the groom claims in Beit Din that he was disappointed to discover that she was a בעולה. When & why is the groom believed to cause her to lose her Ketuva? This will lead to the debate about the origin and status of Ketuva. Is it a Torah requirement and right of a married woman? Or is it Rabbinic? We will study the repercussions of this controversy with regard to her rights to collect her Ketuva. Does she collect from the best of his land? With which currency does he he pay?
