Description

In this shiur for Parshat Bechukotai & in preparation for Chag HaShavuot, based upon the insights of the Tolner Rebby, we will try to understand the statement of Rava in Masechet Avoda Zara advocated the study of Torah even for one who does not understand what he learned, even if he forgets his Torah. What's the point to such study? We will focus our attention on the opening words of this week's parsha and the message it conveys regarding עמילות בתורה, the hard work, the toil & dedication to the study of Torah as an end unto itself even without the acquisition of ידיעת התורה. This will shed a light upon the special significance of 'Tashbar', and the dimension of Torah that is שוה לכל נפש. A critical component for Chag HaShavuot.
