Description
We continuse our study of Nesiat Kapayim and the sugya in Masechet Sota. Our subject for today is the minyan that is made up exclusively of Kohanim. The beracha is meaningful even if there is no one is sitting in the audience to receive the אחינו שבשדות, i.e. those who are too busy working in the fields to come to the synagogue. We will speak about the obligation incumbent upon the members of the Kahal to receive the beracha. Have those working in the fields fulfilled that obligation? Can we consider these people as if they came to shul to accept the beracha? Or does the sugya have in mind the ability to make the Nesiat Kapayim meaningful, but surely the farmers should - when they can - arrive at shul to receive the berachos face-to-face!
