Description

The Mishna in Masechet Megilla establishes the relationship between Tefilla & Nesiat Kapayim. This is implicit - at least according to Tos' in Chagiga - is the Halacha of the Issur Hesech HaDaas which is predicated upon the requirement of Kavana incumbent upon the Tzibbur receiving the Berachos from the Kohanim. The requirement of kavana is an essential Halacha in Tefilla. We would like to analize why Nesiat Kapayim is an integral part of Tefilla.
